About

Commander SK is Control Techniques’ general purpose induction motor drive, and it is really two drives under one name. Sizes A to D are wall or DIN rail units from 0.25 kW to 7.5 kW, including a 110 V single phase range that works through an input doubler. They carry one rating, 150 per cent overload for sixty seconds, and output frequency to 550 Hz.

Sizes 2 to 6 are a separate, larger platform, dual rated at 110 per cent Normal Duty and 150 per cent Heavy Duty for sixty seconds. Four supply classes are built, 200 to 240 V, 380 to 480 V, 500 to 575 V and 500 to 690 V, reaching 132 kW and 236 A on the largest 400 V unit.

Identification turns on the model code: a sizes A to D part number is ten characters encoding phases and kilowatts, as in SKA1200025; a sizes 2 to 6 part number is six characters encoding a rating step, as in SK6602.
