The ZETADYN 3BF is the basis-unit member of Ziehl-Abegg’s third-generation ZETADYN 3 family of lift drives. BF means the basis unit: line reactor, radio interference filter and motor contactors are supplied separately, where the CA and CS complete units carry them inside the enclosure. The digits after BF are the nominal current in amperes, so a 3BF032 is a 32 A unit.
It is a field-oriented inverter for speed control of three-phase motors in passenger and freight lifts. Asynchronous machines take incremental TTL or HTL encoders, gearless permanent-magnet machines EnDat, SSI or ERN1387 absolute encoders. Closed-loop control is rated to 3.2 m/s. The lift controller connects by parallel wiring, by DCP1 to DCP4 over RS485, or by CAN-Bus including CANopen Lift.
Identify a unit from its rating plate, as the published range changed within the 3BF: the 3BF034 and 3BF046 were re-rated as 3BF032, 3BF040 and 3BF050, and 110 and 180 frames were added. Ziehl-Abegg’s declared successor is the ZAdynpro.
