The API is one of thyssenkrupp Aufzugswerke’s own lift inverter series, built for lifts alongside the CPI series and running under a thyssenkrupp TCI or TCM lift controller. It was already in service in the 1990s.
Units are built as a two-board power set, a mains-side card and a motor-side card of the FAM1 family, with the size in the card part number: FAM1N API130, FAM1M API250. A GSK1 snubber board, an API-ESA controller interface board and RFF boards complete the set. Regenerating variants exist as API 60R, API 90R and API250R, whose mains-side powder-core chokes overheated and had to be replaced by an HKR assembly.
Known sizes are 26, 40, 50, 60, 72, 90R, 130, 180, 250 and 250R. The only per-size figures published are mains fuse ratings, 40 A for the API 26, 50 A for the API 40 and 80 A for the API 60.

LiftEquip's own spare-part catalogue names the API 26, 40, 50, 60, 130, 180, 250 and 250R, and thyssenkrupp's own 1999 retrofit bulletin names the API 60R and API 90R. No source carries a complete family list, and no ratings table exists for any API size, so we have not reproduced one here.
