The ZETADYN 3C is the complete-unit member of Ziehl-Abegg’s third-generation lift inverter family, sitting alongside the bare ZETADYN 3BF basis unit: C means the power choke, radio interference filter and motor contactors are fitted inside the enclosure, which is why a 3C is a much larger box than a 3BF of the same current class. CA is the asynchronous build, CS the synchronous, and the digits that follow give the nominal current in amperes.
It is a field-oriented inverter for lift machines needing high travel comfort and positioning accuracy. Closed-loop control is rated to 3.2 m/s. Nine sizes run from 11 A to 74 A, about 4.6 kW to 37 kW at 400 V.
The 3C has no STO input, the main difference from the ZAdyn4C that replaced it; a purpose-made retrofit adapter lets a 3C be swapped out without rewiring the safety circuit. The DC link stays live after switch-off and needs at least three minutes to discharge.
