The ZETADYN 1DF is the first generation of Ziehl-Abegg’s ZETADYN family, a control system for lifts, cranes and conveying equipment. It was rated for drives from 3 to 50 kW on a 400 V three-phase supply, in ten frame sizes whose type numbers state the controller rated current directly, from 1DF014N4 at 14 A to 1DF150N4 at 150 A.
Control is closed-loop and field oriented, with overload of 1.5 times rated current for 60 seconds. It cannot regenerate and has no brake chopper, so an ND series line choke, an FEF or FEFUS radio interference filter and an external brake chopper with resistor are all needed. There is no safe torque off, so motor isolating contactors are required.
The 230 V control-board supply is taken ahead of the mains contactor, so isolating the three-phase side does not de-energise it. Fault 47 reads as a DC-link overcurrent but is caused by wrong or missing encoder pulses, not by a power fault.
