The 584S is a Eurotherm Drives frequency inverter for speed control of three-phase induction motors. Constant torque and quadratic torque are selectable in software on the same hardware, so one drive covers industrial duty and pump or fan duty at two power ratings, with overloads of 150 per cent for 60 s and 110 per cent for 10 s.
Chassis types 4 to 7 run from 0.75 kW to 75 kW constant torque and 1.1 kW to 90 kW quadratic, on a 208-240 V or 380-460 V three-phase supply. Types 8, 9 and 10 are 380-460 V only and reach 315 kW constant torque and 355 kW quadratic.
The eleven-block product code on the rating label always encodes the constant torque rating in block 2, so an 11 kW quadratic drive is coded 0075 and reads as 7.5 kW. Sizing from the label alone gets that wrong on every quadratic-duty machine. Parker labels the 584S a legacy product.
