The V3F20 is Kone’s drive for geared traction lifts running under the Traffic Master System controller, a low and mid range geared V3F for TMS control in Kone’s own component family code. It is a cabinet-level assembly built from Kone’s own boards.
Kone rates the family in amps, not kilowatts. There are four sizes, 20, 40, 60 and 80 A, each issued for a 380, 400 or 415 V supply, with a further 460 V version of the 80 A unit. The rating sits in the part-number suffix rather than the family name: within KM477660, G01 to G03 are 20 A and G12 to G14 are 80 A.
Inside, the serviceable content is a set of Kone boards: motion control, interface, current sensor at 150 A and 235 A, inverter and modulator. Several of those, and the main inverter module KM734855G01, are filed under the V3F16 family too, so board identification alone will not separate a V3F20 from a V3F16.
