The V3F10 is Kone’s drive family for geared traction lifts at the lower end of its range, open loop at the low end and closed loop in the mid range. Open loop units run at 3.7, 5.5, 7.5, 11 and 15 kW, closed loop units from 7.5 to 55 kW, each in a 200 V and a 400 V class.
The hardware is bought in from Yaskawa, and three generations sit under the one name: an early Varispeed G5 set that Kone labels V3F10CL G5, an open loop K1000 set, and a closed loop L1000A set whose type codes carry the rated current, 18 A at 7.5 kW up to 91 A at 45 kW.
Most of the family sits in Kone’s modernisation business, against ReSolve, MMS and Motala 3000 lifts. The drive runs under Kone’s KCE controller and brakes through an external CDBR chopper, not an integral one. A V3F10 rating plate carries a Yaskawa CIMR code, not a Kone one.
