The Mentor II is Control Techniques’ digital DC drive, a fully microprocessor-controlled thyristor converter for shunt-wound DC motors. Fourteen armature ratings run from 25 A to 1850 A, each sold either as a single quadrant drive or as the four quadrant R version for fully regenerative reversing duty. M210 is the 210 A drive, M210R is its four quadrant version, and up to M825 the two share a footprint.
Supplies from 208 V to 480 Vac are accepted, with 525 V, 575 V or 660 V to special order on M350 and above. Armature output reaches 1.15 times the supply voltage on single quadrant drives and 1.05 times on regenerative ones. Overload is 150 per cent for 30 seconds.
The integral field controller gives 8 A up to M210, 10 A to M825 and 20 A above that, and the MD29 coprocessor card runs user application code. Nidec maps the Mentor II directly to the Mentor MP.

Fourteen armature ratings are listed, each available as a single quadrant drive or as the four quadrant R version. The kW and HP figures are typical motor ratings at a 400 V armature, and the Control Techniques brochure footnotes them "This rating may be increased at higher armature voltage", so contact Inverter Drive Repair if you need confirmation for a specific armature voltage.
