The OVF20 is a variable voltage variable frequency lift drive developed by Otis GmbH Berlin. It is not a general-purpose inverter but a controller-integrated package: motion commands, event logging and commissioning all run through the Otis MCB II board and the Otis service tool, over proprietary interfaces to MCS220-generation controllers.
The family covers 5 kW to 22 kW on 380, 400 or 415 volt three-phase supplies. In closed loop, with an encoder and a learn run, it serves speeds to 1.75 metres per second and levelling around plus or minus 3 mm; the open-loop 20CRO variant covers duties to 1.2 metres per second and 9 kW. Drive packages carry 21150-series part numbers with suffixes such as BL1, CL1, DL1 and YW1, the last listed for Gen2 geared and gearless applications. Diagnosis runs on Otis’s own event system, read through the service tool. The lower-cost OVF20CR followed it.
